Church History

This Cemetery or Burial Ground was founded in 1909, and we understand it is still open.

Charlton Kings Cemetery is maintained by the Cemeteries and Crematorium service of Cheltenham Borough Council.

Gloucestershire Archives do not (at the present date, September 2016) hold records of the Cemetery, but their document Civil Cemeteries and Burial boards provides the information that it was opened on 25th September 1909.

There are 14 Commonwealth War Graves in the Cemetery.
