Cemeteries

We believe the Church did NOT have a graveyard.

Note: any church within an urban environment may have had its graveyard closed after the Burial Act of 1853. Any new church built after that is unlikely to have had a graveyard at all.

Church History

This Place of Worship was founded after 1901, but we understand it was closed before 1995, and the premises are now in secular use.

According to the information available with a photograph of Christchurch Hall, Barnards Green Road on the Geograph website, the building is inscribed "Memorial Hall and Parish Room", and it was built at the start of the 20th century as a memorial to Queen Victoria (d.1901).

It is conveniently placed directly behind Christ Church itself, but is now occupied by a firm of Auctioneers, who became established there in 1995.

Denomination

Now or formerly Church of England.

If more than one congregation has worshipped here, or its congregation has united with others, in most cases this will record its original dedication.
