Cemeteries This Church has (or had) a graveyard. Note: any church within an urban environment may have had its graveyard closed after the Burial Act of 1853. Any new church built after that is unlikely to have had a graveyard at all. Church History This Place of Worship was founded in the 11th century, and we understand it is still open. Amazingly, this is an early church, dating from the 11th century, according to the British Listed Buildings website, though (to me) it looks quite modern. Perhaps that is covered by their mention that it is "much restored", the restoration taking place in 1851. Old Maps show an adjacent property labelled "Court Farm", to the left of, and behind the church, suggesting that it was previously part of a manorial estate. Later maps mark the property as "Rangeworthy Court", and by OS 1967 1:2,500 it is labelled as "Rangeworthy Court School". • You can restrict the search to classes of Denomination. The exact denomination is always shown in the results, although the search is for broad types. Thus you can search for 'Methodist', but not 'Wesleyan Methodist' or 'Primitive Methodist'. 'Multi-denominational' includes Ecumenical Partnerships, and 'Miscellaneous' means anything not covered by other broad classes.
