Church History

This Place of Worship was founded in 1914, and we understand it is still open.

This Church is a member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in England & Wales (EPCEW). Its congregation in Cheltenham was founded in 2002, when the Rev. Tim Horn was invited by the EPCEW from the US to 'seed' churches. Early meetings were held in a local school.
Their building in Naunton Lane is not new; according to the list of Cheltenham - Current and Former Places of Worship on Stuart Flight's "Glosgen" website, it was built about 1914, as an Evangelical Free Church. By mutual agreement, its congregation united with that of the ministry founded by Rev. Horn in 2009.
Its name was changed to include "Presbyterian" in 2010. Further details of its history are available on Naunton Lane Evangelical Presbyterian Church website.
May it be also be assumed that the general term of "Reformed Evangelical Christian" may also be applied, since it is has appeared in the GraceNet UK directory as such?

Search Tips:

You can specify either a Place, or OS Grid Reference to search for. When you specify a Place, only entries for that place will be returned, with Places of Worship listed in alphabetical order.
