Church History

This Cemetery or Burial Ground was founded in 1957, and we understand it is still open.

Recordings from Cinderford's Yew Tree Brake Cemetery (edited by David Perry) for the period 1957-96 are available on microfiche [GL/REG/103790-91] at the Society of Genealogists' Library. This is according to their Library Accession list published in The Genealogists' Magazine December 2001 vol 27 no 4.

You can also search online for burials, at both Yew Tree Brake and Mile End Cemeteries, on the Forest of Dean District Council website.

The Cemetery covers the areas of Chepstow, Monmouth, Lydney and Ross-on-Wye, and is council-owned. It shares its entrance with the Forest of Dean Crematorium. [Source: John Williams/Rosemary Lockie]
