We believe the Church does NOT have a graveyard.

Note: any church within an urban environment may have had its graveyard closed after the Burial Act of 1853. Any new church built after that is unlikely to have had a graveyard at all.

Church History

This Place of Worship was founded in 1896, and we understand it is still open.

Kelly's Directory of 1923 relates that All Saints Church was built in 1908, to replace an iron church of 1896, which had been built as a chapel of ease to St Anne's, Oldland. It is "a building of local stone, with Bath stone dressings, in the Perpendicular style, consisting of chancel, south chapel and three bays of a nave and south aisle". The east window is stained and there are about 300 sittings.

The Anglican congregation were probably joined by that of Longwell Green Methodist Church in 1987, when the latter closed. Thereafter, All Saints was registered for solemnizing marriages, as indicated in the following notice in The London Gazette of 16th March 1987 (p.3504):

A building certified for worship named All Saints, Bath Road, Longwell Green, in the registration district of Bristol in the non-Metropolitan county of Avon was on 5th March 1987 registered for solemnizing marriages therein pursuant to section 41 of the Marriage Act 1949 as amended by section 1(1) of the Marriage Acts Amendment Act 1958. Dated 11th March 1987.
